Wuyishan National Scenic Spot

Covering a circumference of 60 square kilometers, the Wuyishan National Scenic Spot is typical of landform with remarkable peaks, towering rocks, sheer cliffs, crystalline stream, and green spring. And it has long been crowned the attractive names of "Blue Water and Green Hills" and "The Best Landscape in Southeast China". Its major sceneries are the Nine-twist Stream and thirty-six peaks with some 400 meters average height above sea level. Climbing up the hills on foot, visitors will marvel at the elegance of rocks and valleys, while taking a raft down the Nine-Twist Stream, they can enjoy the picturesque mountains and waters. Thanks to earnest preservation of natural scenery, Wuyishan was highly praised by chairwoman of the executive committee of the world travel organization, who said "The unpolluted scenic spot of Wuyi Mountain is typical of the world's environmental protection."
